Let me tell you about the workshop, the framingservice for professional artists/photographers &the scanning and printing service
How to contact me & where it all is
A relaxed friendly atmosphere for deliberation, with tea/coffee and a chat, and sometimes with a homemade scone or two....... What makes YOU find a piece of art appealing? Can't quite explain it? Does it matter? NO! Just because you like it - nothing more deep or analytical. At The Bare Wall, we don't analyse why we like something, we just know we do. Art is different things to different people, wholly individual and subjective- what one person loves, another will hate.
So what’s the Studio….? Well different things to different people, we have Karl Simpson our resident artist who uses the studio to come and find peacefulstudy, experiment and produce artwork, at every opertunity. (thats not all day everyday, but I know he wishes it was - very dedicated to developing his skills).Karl replaces our previous and dearly missed resident artist Steven Lingham who is currently traveling overseas and hopefully working towards a new body of work influenced by new experiences. Steven did work at the studio almost all day evey day but we did also devour many sweet nibbles with a lovely cuppa tea (many documented on facebook). We also have ‘Gatherings’ (I once had a facebook challenge to determine the best term for a congregration of artists), this is because many of the artists featured work alone and sometimes they like to meet up to create together, to be inspired,to be encouraged or simply have a piece of cake with a cuppa in company. The studio is used by button boutique which runs quilting workshops, classes are currently full but please check the facebook page, contact details here if your interested. We hope in the future to have classes fo other disciplines….The studio also has dedicated space to display artwork & jewellery for sale, please see the featured artists page to see work currently available for sale. Please note photographs never do the work justice, so please contact and make an appointment to visit (no puchase neccessary) or contact us with regards posting out work for appraisel.
